Mikey, this actually looks like bad signage. The right hand cycle lane joins the carriage way, the left 2 lanes don't. I would agree, the green covers the right cycle lane. The red should have an arrow for clarification. Maybe bring it up with gov department responsible

Children usually repeat other people’s behavior, and avoiding the red light by putting yourself in a dangerous situation is an awful example.
(No, children wouldn’t know that you’re trying to catch drivers on phone to take them to court, in their mind you’re being cheeky).
