Bianchi Milano

Picked up this beaut of FB marketplace for a cool 80 bones, all she needed was a deep clean, new grips and brake cables and it’s back to looking like it did in ‘96. Thankfully all the Mrs. likes to do is cruise because I don’t think this thing can handle much more than that.

The rear hub is interesting tho, seems to have the shifting mechanism inside—has anyone come across this before? Shimano Nexus I believe?

I’m afraid if it goes out what fixing it will look like.

Oh also happy FEF!

  1. Yes those are internal hubs. Very common. But heavy. I hate them because it’s a contradiction to put a heavy hub on an aluminum frame.
They all came with fenders though. And a kickstand.
And the really nice ones came with aluminum forks.

I converted one to deraillers & a CODA triple crank and got it down to 22 lbs with the fenders and kickstand.
