I'm thinking of putting a RockShox Paragon on my old Kona Sutra. The "official" max tire size for the Paragon is listed as 45c, as is the Sutra's fork. However, I'm currently running 52c Mezcals on the stock Sutra fork with plenty of clearance. I'm wondering if 45c is the actual max or if anyone is running a bigger tire?

Got a paragone fork on my bike with 47mm tires and there’s still clearance between the fender and the tire. Like more than an index finger. It’s the gold rl/700c.
How do people typically handle the maintenance on fork suspension systems when bike touring? The recommended maintenance routine gets pretty complex at only 25 hours, and basically a full disassembly at 50 hours. Presumably you’d hit that on a 7 day tour let alone a multi week.
