Hey, how you doin. Australia has rubbed off you Chev π
Ah, you came to us , I was born in Segedunum (Latin) or Wallsend & know just about every foot of the Wall's length, the cutting down of the Sycamore tree devastated me but all of it's baby seedlings & now the regrowth (called copsing) makes my heart sing β€
Tyne is the Roman river god , a statue of him is on the side of the rotunda on Newcastle Civic Centre π
Oversimplified is the bomb!!
Safe travels β€
ππ
Great work again guys. Tour De UK is go π Loving the drone shots as you ride through the scenery and it's stationary position in the air is impressive at time. Happy Trails π
hello I been watching you for sometime. I know you are in UK and when you slept in the what you called the new tent where is that. Gee riding bike must be good imagine riding across Australia on bike when you were here I wonder how it would have taken.
So impressed with you both! β€
Are you ok?
You haven't posted in 13 days!
Is everything ok?
Has anyone heard from them lately?
Are they still in the UK?
Newcastle upon Tyne is where they put the new castle on the River Tyne. π
Youβre such a lovely couple, well done, you are building memories that will last your lifetime. Make me feel happy just watching you.
The coronation chicken was deviced for the queen at her coronation around 1950, Kendall mint cake was designed for walkers, climbers etc in the lakes, to give a sugar energy rush.
THIS IS NOW MY 5TH VIDEO IN A ROW, YEP IM ADDICTED!! GET TO PLYMOUTH, DEVON, AND THEN POP OVER INTO CORNWALL….. IM A GOOD GUIDE!!
I hope you both are doing well. Missing you from last week!
I can't imagine doing what you guys are doing, but then I'm almost 63! π The Coronation sandwich your wife had was invented in the early 1950's for Queen Elizabeth II Coronation, made from ingredients from around the Empire! π And towns and cities in the UK are often named after rivers they sit next to, so Newcastle is on the River Tyne! And Roman Soldiers on Hadrians Wall were recruited from all over te Roman Empire, which is very interesting, just no Americans! π ππ½ But you've probably been told all of that thousands of times by now! Thanks for the videos, take it easy and I hope you are enjoying my home country! ππ½π€
Some familiar sites. I lived in Brampton for years before moving back to the NE. Been to most of the forts in the wall. Even walked a part of it
The Romans actually got a lot further north too. There was another Roman wall between Glasgow and Edinburgh, called the Antonine wall
Did you mention that your coronation chicken sandwich had raisins in? If so, how unfortunate! As a young boy my Granny (Lancashire) used to make chicken curry with raisins inβ¦. And she would accompany it with rice and sliced bananas on the side of the plate! Canβt say I remember it fondly.
Β£11 is about twenty three Australian dollars, so it prevents many Aussies from visiting tourist places in the UK. Weβre only getting 47p/AU$β¦ouch!
The camera roll must be adorable 20:45
Fantastic β€
You both have blossomed and look so much more relaxed and happy β€ The UK has some amazing places to visit.
London is not the UK.
Hi Tia & Cheveyo, you came up in my recommended feed (3 videos later I subscribed, tough crowd) but as someone who has lived away from the UK for 13 years sometimes you forget how other people see your country and it gives you a new appreciation. Big love and thank you. Enjoy your travels.
Now your seeing England!
Loving the joy of coronation chicken sandwich!
I'm from Newcastle and I know I am biased, but I honestly do think where I live has everything within 30 minutes driving distance, beautiful coast lines, forests (kielder), countryside, a city that is just perfect size, not to big and just big enough. The only thing we don't have is decent weather lol.
You can get chocolate covered mint cake btw which are nicer
14:26 Very easy and simple. Tyne is the river flowing through Newcastle. There is a Tyne St. in Melbourne, Australia and when the locals in Newcastle heard about it, they found the name so melodious, that they decided to call their river in the same way. Yep, it's THAT easy …8:04 Soooo sorry, that the Romans didn't find Australia and we couldn't inspire you with some ruins left by them down here. Although … there is this film "Peter & Pompeij"…
boredom. that would be my #1 concern.
πͺπ¦
Charming β¦.thank you for sharing
Well done for using bikes to see the country .I hope you managed to visit the Yorkshire Dales ,in the Kettlewell, grassington areas, real limestone landscape, in gods own county π
A map on the screen would of been good to know where you were/have been
Hadrians Wall is ruins now because the barbarians have spent the last 2000 years nicking all the stones to build houses with. π
Doing the wall from west to east, whether cycling or hiking, is the way to go. You get warmed up by the morning sun and the wind is nearly always at your back. Anyone reading this, go now!
I can assure you we have a lot nicer places in England then where you've been. Every part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland there's so much beauty to see you're welcome to do it all and see how a wonderful country.
