Preston Guild Wheel is a cycle route encircling the city of Preston, Lancashire, UK. It is mainly a tarmac surfaced route, some gravel section and just a few miles of farm track. There are a a couple of busy roads where cyclists ride alongside the road, a few miles of quiet country lanes, but mainly a well-designed cycleways. The tracks are well-maintained and signposts / road markings make this very easy to follow. Vegetation was being cut back while we were on the route. Our filming was by Michael Sutton with Bernard Kellett leading the way..
It was quite wet on the day we filmed, but we hope it doesn’t spoil your viewing, it didn’t spoil our ride. This route could be done on any bike, but there is one section where the signposts ask riders to dismount and walk down a steep cobbled section. There are plenty of food stops on the route
