Hey! Curious what yall think of this as a first MTB for me, got some good info from my last post and did more homework. Lots of folks say I’ll want the dropper post and tubeless tires. Found something local that seems to check all the boxes and is my size, curious to hear what yall think. Thanks a ton!

The cannondale trail bikes are great hardtails. All depends on the price though! How much is it?

Looks like it has all you need. If it has boost spacing front and rear you are golden and could ride this bike for years to come and upgrade as you see fit.

not sure but for 1k you might get a new bike with similar stats, like a model from last year on sale. and do you really want a mtb, they are mostly for trails? i thought also that mtbs are nice but for city and tour you will do better with a trekking bike

We see this question a lot and THIS is a good starter bike. This bike can actually be used as a mountain bike and doesn’t break the bank. It’s very clean and clearly hasn’t been abused. Good luck with the negotiation, OP.
Yep, ticks pretty much all the boxes. Its debatable if that price is high. My initial thought was $1k seemed steep but using the below as comps, its not bad. I would still offer $800 since its a couple of years old. I would say for the most part the Cannondale is a better spec build than either of these, but not a huge margin.
