Hello all,

I am two days in to my route. I got a guide from cyclingeurope for a Tuscany bike trail and it is nice but it does put me on some winding roads with cars zipping by me. Not sure if this is an Italy thing or not. This is the route above.

I am wondering if I made a mistake and I should try to get on the Via Francigena instead. For those that have done the Francigena how often are you on roads with cars?

I using a salsa warroad with 35 schawlbe mondials so I think I can handle some gravel.

This is my first tour and though it’s been beautiful some the fast cars have me on edge as I ride. Am I asking too much to not have any cars? I’m in my head I’m on the wrong route.

Any advice?
