Boring post, but I’m very new to cycling. I’ve just ordered my first 2 nice jerseys. Ignore that I’m not wearing proper bib shorts, but do these jerseys look like they fit? They feel comfy, but everyone else’s seem to fit way tighter! After some advice please 🙂

Short sleeve fits better IMO. Nice slippers
That maap suits and fits perfect to you. The long sleeve is a bit too big imho
I would advise to try jerseys on with bibs. At least for me jerseys sometimes feel to tight when not wearing bibs and feel like they fit perfectly when wearing bibs.
Jerseys need to be skin tight so if yours is and you are bent over (as you would be on a bike / aka not standing up straight) and it fits then you’ve got it right.
To judge a jersey standing up, in a way, is always going to be tricky as they’re not designed for that.
They look like they both fit nicely but I think maybe you could go one size smaller.
Size down if possible. Shouldn‘t wrinkle that much. May feel tight at first, but more comfortable during rides.
Another important reason why you should size down, is that back pockets, when full are a lot more comfortable and not sagging.
(Maap worked on this on the new version with a new fabric though)
Size down in both, especially the long sleeve one 🙂
Thank you all! I bought a universal colours one last week (and returned it) because it felt too tight, I think based on what you’ve all said, that one was probably perfect!
The fit seems fine to me but people are different and if you’re new I guess you’ll probably need more time to work out what you like ? Would defo be best to try with the bibs short ( and the appropriate base layers) cos the jersey may feel more snug with them on (especially if you go for thicker base layer in cooler weather). also try them on the bike as the fit may be different… but length looks fine. Tailwinds 👍
If you’re new to cycling, go with what feels comfortable 😊 you can fine tune the fits/sizing later 😊
The yellow one definitely fits you better. You know you can get a lot of mileage out of leg and arm warmers. A lot of newbies don’t realize this but you can even wear a Craft baselayer under your ss jersey and ride at least the shoulder seasons if not winter depending on where you live. Same for bibs wear with leg warmers and you can ride through winter without having to buy tights. But the green jersey is fine and you could almost treat it like a jacket and just accept that it fits slightly big. It’s basically fine.
Both ok
Size down in both.
Arms look good, but wrinkles in the shoulder and midsections indicate it’s a little too big.
Great choices though, that colourway in the evade is excellent.
Too loose. If that loose standing imagine how baggy when folded over
Size down for sure. The jersey should fit a bit tighter than that. No wrinkles etc.
I’m going to add a perspective I’m not seeing in the comments. As a woman with an hourglass shape (aka wide hips and narrow waist), I found that while I *could* size down, and yes it got rid of wrinkles in the fabric, it made the bottom of the jersey too tight and either cut into my hips making me look like a stuffed sausage, or it would roll up and be totally useless. These are designed for people without hips, and IMO aren’t cut short enough for it to not be affected by my hip width. I have found that a “looser” jersey (as in, the way it looks on you), mitigates this problem and feels way more comfortable. I personally think these look great on you, but yes you might still be able to get away with a tighter fit. I would try on a smaller size if its convenient for you, but if not these are not bad at all for an entry nice kit and honestly I’m so jealous because these are both so nice!!
This sub is so fixated on getting rid of every single wringle in the fabric. But that doesnt always look good or feel good, for a non pro / non competitive rider. So me, the fit looks fine. Maybe try a smaller size, but dont stress it too much.
I think the fit is right, could potentially try one size down too to reduce wrinkles
Second fit is a bit better than the first one
It looks fine. A truer gauge would be bending over as if sitting on a bike, which should eliminate the wrinkles that so many people seem to be concerned about. Don’t worry too much about it especially as you’re new to the sport. Just go with what makes you comfortable.
Looks good, but you should be outside yelling at kids with those slippers.
Nice shoes ! 👠
