the last bit of Hungarian to the border of of Serbia mostly travelling along the EU 6 what are the Euro Velo bike trails.
some places you’ll see a lot more than other places but overall very good for camping and writing

Welcome to the eternal cyclist. Where are we going now? Still playing around with all this and going to start redoing some stuff. The intro will be different again once I take off again. Taking a couple days off in Serbia. Okay. Uh little chilly tonight or cooling off. Sun’s starting to go down. But we got a place off the bike trails up over there. I’m trying to figure out how we missed one of the bike trails, but it’s hanging kind of okay. I should have hung it a little bit better. Um, but is what it is. Maybe I’ll adjust it later, the hammock, but cooking dinner right now. So, that’s my first priority before it gets dark. Get all set up. We get ready to go and have a good night’s sleep and then more road tomorrow. Okay. Good morning. after a nice clean shave. Do some of the normal things we got to do daytoday living, shaving, brushing teeth, everything else. All that good stuff. Bike’s all packed up. We camped over there and that we got to go back up that way to the road and get onto there. And we’re going to take it to the bike path and see if the bike path has a better bike path at the end or if it’s the gravel stuff. Again, we don’t know. But it’s how it goes on every day living on the road. Uh not much mostly to talk about. Okay, I’m coming along this bike trail here, hoping to find a bike trail that goes along the riverfront here instead of doing through the cities and the towns. So, I’m going to go up to the bridge here a little farther and see if there’s a trail that runs alongside the river like it was doing back there. Uh, instead of having to go through the cities, busy cities and the other stuff. So, we’ll see. We’ll come up here, see what we see, and then if not, we’ll go back and do the city route. Okay. Looks like there’s the fishing trail alongside there. Don’t know how far that’s going to go. This of course is the biking trail, the biking bridge, and there’s the car bridge. But I don’t see anything on the other side. So, I’m going to have to see how far this trail goes down and whether or not it’s worthwhile to avoid going back into the city. So, it’s going to be interesting. All the fishermen are down there. It’s a normal fishing and camping spots for them. So, we’ll see and we’ll go on. If you find some of these fishing places along the way, some of them have everything from a shower to toilets to everything else. A lot of places in Hungary have these like fishing or uh rowing uh areas where they have that. A lot of them have toilets, have showers, have different things. The roadways go around nicely. Although there are all right, but they’re not the best in the world. But still, it’s good places to camp, good place to get cleaned up and everything else. Well, the ride along the fishing way part of the way is really good. And it’s got a choice up here of going high or going low along the fishing places. You can take either one. One is more gravel than the other. They’ll both end up supposedly going where you want to go. But for me, I’m going to take the higher one just to see how it goes. Well, the trails continue to not be the best uh for riding slow going. So, I am going to go back up to the main road, catch the air six up there. Uh, just because otherwise it’s kind of hard on you and this and that. Definitely couldn’t take a trike across that. Could bike it if I was in the mood, but yeah, it’s a Sunday, so traffic shouldn’t be too bad. So far, this road traffic is nothing. Okay, now the year of L6 will go kind of like this most the rest of the way down to Serbia. There will be a few more spots where it was like before. Goes to the grass, not paved, etc. The road is over there. This runs parallel with the road. So, it makes for a very nice thing. The other parts staying on the highway for a bit. Uh, for me it doesn’t bother me, but for a lot of people it would be too much traffic. So, to each their own. Just so you know, you got to be careful even on these bike routes to make sure you’re paying attention for the signs or the bike routes turn onto something else. Otherwise, you might end up going like this where the road just ends and then you’ve got to go back a ways and get back on the bike route or the main road because the railing keeps you from getting on. So, it’s just how it is. At least the flowers are pretty. Well, if you’re lucky in Europe, uh some of the cities you go through, they’ll have decent Wi-Fi at the public city halls or some other thing. If you’re lucky, it’s fast enough to upload a YouTube video and do that. You have to kind of go around to some places. Not every place is good. Some places work out better than others. So, it’s just luck of the draw. As you can see, this is a Sunday. So most everything is closed. You won’t find very few businesses open and if they are very very limited hours, maybe for only an hour or two, couple hours just for the locals to get what they need. So you never know where they are when they’re open. So it’s one of the drawbacks here. Just make sure you have all your supplies for Sunday. But again, Wi-Fi you can find throughout. But it’s just how good or how well it works. So yeah, sometimes you have to sit around a long time to do an upload, check your mail, check your stuff versus having a SIM card, but as we discussed, not so easy to get. They don’t work in every country. So it depends on how long you’re staying in a country or not and how much data they allow you to take as roaming data. [Music] I do like the storks here in Europe. They just kind of hang out and do their thing. You can get drinking water in Hungaria. A lot of places alongside the road. Uh they have these drinking water fountains. Don’t know how good the water is. I’ll cook with it. I won’t exactly drink it, but it is here to get, so it’s a good thing. Quite often the signs are extremely hard to see and read going through the cities. So, forces you to look at the map and stop and check because you don’t want to go the wrong way too often. Like I say, it’s a Sunday, so you look around, it’s like ghost towns. Everything is closed. only thing open is the churches and even that’s only at certain times. But if you’re lucky, the government buildings have left the Wi-Fi on and you can bounce off the Wi-Fi peacefully. We’ll let you know when there’s Wi-Fi around. Where you’re going to find it is somewhere down there with one of the government buildings. or tennis courts. Who knows? Here at one of my favorite campsites, camping sometimes over there, sometimes between the trees there, sometimes over there, but it’s one of the first stops out of Serbia. Uh today I’m having lunch here. Just cooked my lentil soup lunch. So, we’ll have lunch and then we’ll see if we’re going to decide to go on farther or not for the day. Chowo chow. [Applause] [Music] [Music] Uh, little kitchen. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] And the river is the border. There’s the border again. Okay, we’re approaching the border area. So, we’ll be leaving Shenen here. We’ve crossed three or four borders already without having to go through any paperwork. But on this border, we’ve got to go through paperwork and everything else because it’s leaving Shenen to Serbia, the Serbs. Welcome back to Serbia. Interesting stuff. So, here we go. Signs for where the Arave LO6 goes, so on and so forth. Noad, etc. First signs of that. I’ll stop up ahead, put my passport away, put everything up, and then finish my ride. Looks like I might get rain this morning. So, but we’ll clear the area before we go ahead and pack everything up. All right. Some days the videos are short. They’re this and that. Right now I’m back in Serbia. So I don’t have all that far to go today before getting to Moran’s place and taking few days of helping him get some stuff together and seeing what’s all going on there before I take off again through Europe for the rest of the season of biking. Uh probably this year I’m going to do a loop south first. Kill some time because it’s not until September this the Azub anniversary that I want to go to. So if I go back to Shangen now, I’ll have used up my Shangen time before that. And even though there’s loopholes because of the Ukraine war and all that stuff, loopholes aren’t easy anymore. Crossing into Ukraine, crossing into Russia, crossing into Bellarus to get out of the Shenen territories and use the loopholes in Poland and a few other places is not feasible right now. So, we have to do what we got to do. All righty. It’s time to be welcome back to the Serbia, Iran’s place. I’m coming to my stuff here before taking off again the season. [Music] A lot of [Music] overgrowth. Okay, I mixed a couple days together here. I’ll be stopping in Serbia, visiting family and friends again. Uh, taking a few days off to get everything set up and redo some video stuff. Thanks for watching. Please subscribe.
