It’s my birthday and also day 94 of biking from Norway to South Africa. We woke up in our little campsite that was near our hotel for the evening, stopped at a grocery store, and made sure we stocked up on wine and cake and all of the fun birthday treats. We definitely gave a few people a good laugh when they saw Alex biking with two bottles of wine strapped to his fork. We only had like 6 miles to go until we got to the hotel for the night. We picked a hotel with a hot tub and a pool so that way we could make the most of the birthday splurge. We cooked a really lovely dinner and basically just spent all day in the hot tub and pool and then had some wine on our porch watching the sunset. It was a beautiful birthday. Very, very appreciative for everything. And yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow.
