at the front. We saw him doing plenty of chasing and pacing on stage one in particular. He’s up alongside Perthand Hageness, the um strong young Norwegian on their team. And then it’s under Scorsese, the Norwegian as well. I don’t think they’re involving Alexander Kristoff in this. This has got to be about either Frederick Devashnes or Adne Halter. Halter, who of course is up in the top 10 already. And now it’s Pan Hogan, the 21-year-old Norwegian who takes over at the front in the yellowisa bike. The turn is coming. That’s that final roundabout before the lefthand turn that takes them onto the finishing climb. It has quite a few twists and turns on it. We saw how hard it was last time up. No one will get this one wrong. Whoever does get across the line this time is definitely the winner. Brennan drifting back a little bit. hit back. I think he’s, you know, noticeably he let um his lead up go so that he wasn’t exposed to this kind of final rush. So, um I think he’s going to base his positioning based on what um UAE do. One or two riders using that as an opportunity to duck out, I think. Thankfully, everyone ran that smoothly. Um T-B Droso is well placed. Look out for Droso in the white jersey. He’s still sitting down there following Lorenzo Rotor if I’m not mistaken. Grao on the left hand side of the shot there as well. Um Oh, we’ve just pixelated the picture a little bit. It is Israel Premier leading Matty Brennan looking so good in that jersey. I think who’s this Kovi? I think this might be Kobe. It’s Alandro Kov lifting it. He’s got Yan Christristen with him. They’re not waiting for anything. Maxim Van Hills is there too. So Van Hills actually picking up Kov’s wheel. Is this Kobe going for himself though or is he softening up for Kristen? Christian sitting on. Yeah. Two kill. Look at Pipper. Yeah, he’s just Yeah, he’s got to follow the Yan Christian. But this will be a a kilometer done flat out by Kovi to basically pull everybody, you know, put them all at their maximum and then see what happens. But group of six on have peeled off the front and um yeah, for the moment Bren is in still in control. Well, he is he is riding so well. the Brit in the leader jersey as well. So, Aleandro Kovi, Maxim Van Hilst behind him, and then the the teammate of Kovi is Yan Christristen. The fact that Kovi keeps resetting his head unit. Leave it alone, man. There’s us talking about power meters, he’s constantly pressing it because he is riding to some kind of hard wattage here to see who he can drop. Um, Stan Vanricked, I think it is, who’s made it in there for Alpha Cinder as well. Maxim Van Hills for Red Bull looks good, sitting second wheel. Yan Christen has looked good all week. He’s grimacing a bit now though. How deep into this climb can Matty Brennan go? If he survives in this group to the finish, good luck beating him because it levels out towards the line and we know he’s the quickest rider in the race. Victor Langelotti is the Inos Grenaders man once again. Second day in a row. He’s coping very well with a final climb. Yeah, and this is this is the acceleration that Bren’s got to survive now. The second one. Well, at the moment he is riding so well. He’s following now. So it looks like yeah, the work by Kobe is done. Yan Christristen, though doesn’t want to go too soon. I wonder whether the plan was maybe for Kobe to go deeper. It was a deep effort, but not quite long enough. And this little pause will surely help Matty Brennan. Yeah, this is his chance to recover. And um if you’re going to try and win the stage, then he had to react straight away there. and um like Van Trick’s doing now to produce a decent acceleration that’s going to gap the others cuz they’ve all been flat out from Kov’s um effort and it’s just a matter of how much can we recover. Yeah. Oh, here comes the next one. This is Adney Holter, I think, who’s going now. Can Yan Christristen respond? It looks like Halter just looking to check the number because he’s come up from the group behind. Matty Brennan still very comfortable in responding to these things. Van Tricked at the back there just hanging on to the wheel of of um sorry who am I looking at? Maxim Van Hills. Maxim Van Hills who’s in that group too. This is Adney Halter. And I think with the easing and the looking around it might well be that second group which is currently led by Lorenzo Rotor might well come back. Yeah, they might. Kob’s coming back too. Yeah, Kobe’s coming back. So he’s going to he’s going to go into the front again and pull for Yan Christian. Yeah, Yan Christian happy to see that, but there’s a bit too much indecision in there and surely that must help Matty Brennan who at the moment is riding like the best of the climbers in this race. And yet we’re pretty certain he’s also the best of the sprinters. Winner yesterday, wearing the leader jersey, riding this stage race like a like a a four-day grand tour champion at the moment. He’s just sitting second wheel. Looks comfortable despite the fact that he’s getting out of the saddle to stay with Aleandro Kovi. He’s got second wind here. Has Yang Christristen got one last move in him that he’s not used yet? Cuz he certainly didn’t seem to kick off it. This is very impressive by Kovi. And it looks like as well one more of the Vizmissa bike riders are coming up. Jorgen Nordhagen I think it is on the left. Nordhogen’s going to go and here goes Christian. Yan Christian wanted to go a bit later. 500 meters to go. It’s as if he was watching his walks to see when it was. But Matty Brennan’s going with him. Maxim Van Hills. It’s the same duo as yesterday. Van Hills not quite on Matty Brennan though. But Brennan has responded brilliantly to this at the moment. I have to say I’m looking like this and it looks like another Matty Brennan win is on the cards. Can Maxim Van Hills do anything about it this time though? Yan Christristen, one of the best climbers in the race. He’s kicking as hard as he can, but he cannot get rid of the British teenager. 300 m to go. Watch out for Lelotti. Lonjalotti now coming up behind them too. There’s a chance of an overlap attack here, but he can’t get through. That’s how narrow it is. Victor Lelotti is stuck. He wants to get through that gap, but they’re three at breast there. And it’s blocked the road. Who would have thought three riders could block the road coming to the finish? 150 m to go. Matty Brennon doesn’t normally get beaten from here. It’s looking like he’s going to get two in a row. Who can come around him? He’s running out of gears though, I think, on this slightly downhill finish. Maxim Van Hills in the same place he was yesterday. Van Hills might have this. He’s over overlapped. Maxim Van Hilson’s timed it perfectly. Almost learning from what happened yesterday, but Matty Brennan taking second. He’s going to defend his overall lead. What a fantastic finale. Yeah, Brennan did exactly what he needed to do there. started to sprint maybe a little too early, but you know, given that Kobe had put everybody out there complete maximum, it’s hard to keep producing the kind of sprint that you’re going to need to win, going to need to to take the win. Well, that will be Maxim Vanhill’s seventh professional victory, the 25year-old. And I think it’s his first win this year if I’m not No, it isn’t because he won he won stage one of the route to Del Soul, didn’t you? I should know that. I was on commentary. Um, he also won the points classification in that race, but this is his second win of the year after by his very high standards a slightly uh disappointing classics campaign as well. Um, Maxim Vanhill’s winning actually by looking at his the kind of rider he is and

  1. Is it crazy that I’m surprised to see that Brennan didn’t win once he had made it to where it flattened off? Seems crazy to say about a 19 year old
