Have used the same in London, albeit not so large. Great solution. No interaction with cars at all. And relieves the worries people have about tunnels in some countries.

The roundabout is good for cars too. They never have to stop moving.

I guess tunnels are nice and cool, for as long as you don’t have a fentanyl epidemic ravaging the country.

  3. The tunnel openings could be wider to provide a better field of view when exiting. Other than that, I approve. The similar one here in Tallinn, Estonia, is a bit more cramped and appears to also have steeper slopes from most directions.

  4. The Dutch do this too – but not the cool bike roundabout in the middle. Very cool and I’m sure very functional.

Americans have no idea how to use a roundabout. This is a death sentence in any American city for a cyclist.

In the first picture there is a person on a moped/scooter? I wonder how many mopeds and scooters blow through there recklessly. Unfortunately it is becoming all too common to see that sort of thing.

I’d prefer bikes on top, that middle section looks like a potential disaster.

  8. I will send this to our traffic engineers. We have terrible roundabout in my city district.
