Was low on money and really wanted some front storage solution, and this was the cheapest option I could come up with. Almost fully watertight. Each pannier is only 4 liters though so they're a bit small, but better than nothing!

Hard cases make a great deal of sense to me. Clear ones where I have a clue what’s in them are brilliant! And the basket in front. I’d like to see a pair of hard cases and a big on-top basket in the back, make the whole picture snap into focus! Could use reflective tape to highlight the boxyness

Curious to see how they handle the bumps. I feel like they will crack if you encounter a bumpy ride. Maybe rubber o-rings and big washers between the bolts ? Love the idea tho!
Good solution! Will they only be carrying light things, though? I don’t think the plastic will handle any significant load when pierced like that
Thanks for sharing a pic of the DIY fork adapters, I’d add washers to the U-clamp bolts to limit bending
