[Music] Coming soon to Heml Hempstead, a safer way to walk, wheel, and cycle. Starting here at Green Lane, where the quiet way begins. The quiet way is a signposted walking, cycling, and wheeling route using quieter residential streets and off-road paths. This new route is designed to make it safer and easier to walk, wheel, and cycle between Levertock Green Mails and Wood Hall Farm with onward connections via existing cycle routes to support more people expected to live and work in the area over the coming years. We’re delivering sustainable transport options and reducing traffic congestion in our communities. From here, the route follows onto Bunsfield Lane, a peaceful stretch that’s part of the Quiet Way network. Now we’re approaching the new Dutchstyle roundabout at Boundary Way, which will link the southern section of the Quiet Way with the northern section. It’s near to completion and will open next week. The roundabout has a dedicated outer ring for people cycling separate from traffic with safer crossings and wider footways with future links to the Nikki line, Redbborne, and Harpendon. It’s a route for the whole community. The quiet way continues along Bunsfield Lane, taking us lastly to Cherry Tree Lane, completing this safe and scenic cycle. We’re making it easier and safer to walk, cycle, and wheel by creating a more connected place to live and work.
