I really wanted to build a gravel but I needed it to fit in a budget since I’m a student.
I bought this ATB for dirt cheap and I started my journey, collecting each part that I would need.
A set of 26’ MTB wheels, some cheap 26×2 tires, about the maximum I could fit with this frame.
Ritchey Ergomax 40cm bar with a 60mm stem to counter the length of the bike in order to accomodate the gravel handlebar.
Brakes are TRP Spyre, not very impressed by them even with compressionless housing, so I bought a pair of HY-RD.
With 105 3x9v levers I have an issue with front derailleur. I know there is a hack, drilling a small hole in the arm of the derailleur and to passing the cable through it in order to make road an MTB cable pull ratio closer.
Any potential solutions for this issue ?

Wow this is peak xbiking
What a crazy looking frame. Reminds me of a retrotec with all the swoopy lines, and elevated chainstay is really cool. I’m amazed you can fit 26×2 in a “road” frame! Hope you are liking it 🙂
