I replaced everything except the seat post and fork over the years. I installed the XT rear derailleur and a 11-34 cassette a couple of years ago to help these aging legs get up steep hills.

That looks like a 52/39 crank paired with your 11-34 cassette. That’s pretty much the same gearing range modern race bikes are using with 52/36, 11-30 combos. You’re doing alright for yourself “old man.”
