Looking for a new hybrid for street and some trail riding in US . Budget around $600-800 with LBS’s offering a lot of 20%-30% off prices for the fall season. I’ve looked at [Giant Escape Disc 2](https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/escape-disc-2) and [Specialized Sirrus X 2.0](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/sirrus-x-2-0/p/200210?color=322034-200210). The big difference seems to be single or double front. Bike shop guys I’ve talked to say advantages are: Single, lighter and easier/less maintenance. Double, slightly larger gear range on the top end, not much diff for climbing. There’s also a [Sirrus 2.0](https://www.specialized.com/us/en/sirrus-2-0/p/200206?color=322050-200206), essentially the same bike with double front.
For what it’s worth, my other wants are internal cable routing and hydraulic discs.
Anything more I should know about the single vs double issue? or suggest other bikes? Thanks
