Should I Shorten chain by 2 links?
I followed Shimano’s procedure by adding 2 links where they meet without routing through the rear mech. I thought by having an OSPW it wouldn’t be enough links since the procedure goes through without the mech anyways.
I also adjusted the b-tension to their spec as well, any more and the shifting turns to crap on the rear.
I obviously don’t ride cross chain, but curious if I should?

What does it look like the biggie big. It’s strange that a chain would be this long if you followed the guide
Go big/big and check the tension. Should be at least a slight bend in the derailleur. Go Small/ small. Should not be slack.
There’s definitely something weird going on like the b-knuckle is mounted incorrectly, can’t tell from the picture but that main pulley is so far forward I can’t imagine it shifts well at all.
When you say you “added two links” did you add two FULL links, or an inside and an outside?
