Idk man I asked a question about recommendations for 26” suspension forks here once and everyone told me to fuck myself and ride rigid

the one solution is to measure the fork length, and the steerer tube height. Then start calling bike shops in a 4 hour area. Someone will have what you need in a parts bin. Also do this on a weekday so they arent stressed. Focus on independent stores no trek or specialized dealerships.

There are a bunch of 26″ Rockshox SID forks on eBay…not exactly budget-oriented, though. However, it’d be pretty apropro for your era of Merlin.

  4. The right *air sprung* fork.* Looking for a Fox F100 or something similar. Hoping one of you fine folks might having something in the parts bin ❤️

Manitou circus comes in straight steerer 26. The markor might as well. Markor damper can be upgraded as well which is cool

  6. Bro, I would get a Ti fork for that, and some fat tyres.
I would love to get a frame like that and go full rigid, bmx bars, fat tyres and SS
