I've been looking into buying a used road bike, as currently I only have one for commuting that's a bit uncomfortable for longer distances. Here's the specifics:
Vitus 992 Ovoid, 57 cm frame, 20 gears
– Campagnolo wheels (Eurus and Khamsin)
– Look Carbon Blade pedals
– Shimano Ultegra brakes
– Shimano Flight Deck shifters
– Shimano 600 stem (the one with the nice bolt)
– Shimano 105 crankset
– Cinelli handlebars
– New Supacaz handlebar tape
– Shimano XTR mountain bike rear derailleur (which handles modern mountain gearing) and 600 front derailleur
– Ovle Shimano Biopace chainrings with chain and 10s cassette (lots of km left)
– Original Vitus seatpost
– Brand new 25mm Schwalbe Durano Plus training tires

This is a very cool bike. It’s beautiful and I’m happy to see it still in use.
For me personally, I don’t like the mixed up wheels and components. Functionally it could be fine, but I would want more classic styled wheels and a matched groupset.
Ask how old those wheels are, it could be difficult to find a replacement spoke if one breaks. I wouldn’t make an offer on this bike myself, despite how cool it is. But if you love it and aren’t bothered by the parts I’d try for $350-400. But it does look to be well cared for and maintained.
