Hi everyone.
Just wanted to share my current Brompton lighting configuration. It might seem a bit overkill, but I really enjoy long night rides, and this setup suits my needs perfectly.
Front Fork Mount
Towild BR1000 – 115g. Aluminum and plastic body. Garmin mount. IPX6-rated.
Because it’s lightweight, it doesn’t bounce around on rough terrain and gives me confidence it won’t break the mount (which can happen with heavier lights).
Brightness: 200–1000 lumens.
Modes: 3 steady + 2 flashing.
Runtime: 2.5h (max steady) to 15h (eco flash).
Power: Swappable 18650 battery, USB-C charging.
It works while charging and even without the battery if plugged into a power source. Side cutouts improve side visibility.
Comes with a remote button – I custom-mounted it into the Brompton caliper:
Remote Button Mount on Reddit
This is my main running light for city rides (lit streets, parks, roads).
Why I chose it: weight, Garmin mount, USB-C, swappable battery, simple UI. Аffordable price.
Front Handlebar Mount
Moon Titan Max 1700 – 149g. Aluminum and plastic body. Garmin mount. IPX7-rated.
Looks great on the handlebar and doesn’t interfere with folding (though I had to use a slightly offset mount to avoid touching the front axle nut).
Brightness: 100–1700 lumens.
Modes: 4 steady + 3 flash.
Runtime: 2h (max steady) to 42h (eco flash).
Features Variable Lumen System (adjust any mode in 100-lumen steps and save changes for future use).
Built-in ~3500mAh battery. USB-C charging. Supports wireless charging. Can act as a power bank.
Works while charging. Remote button available (I don’t use it since it's on the handlebar).
I use it in poorly lit areas and as a daytime running light in flash mode.
Why I chose it: form factor, Garmin mount, USB-C, high output, power bank function. Price is on the higher side.
Rear Rack Mount
Knog Blinder Link Rack Mount – 42g. Plastic body. Magnetic proprietary rack mount. IP67-rated.
Perfect fit for my titanium rear rack.
Brightness: 20–100 lumens.
Modes: 8 total.
Runtime: 4h (max steady) to 50h (eco flash).
Built-in battery (estimated 500–700mAh). USB-C charging.
My main rear light.
Some reviews mention fragile mount – luckily, 3D print models are available if needed.
Why I chose it: direct rack mounting, USB-C, long runtime, brightness. Price is quite high.
Rear Bottle Holder Mount
Fenix BC05R V2.0 – 22g. Plastic body. Includes 2 mounts: clip-on and rubber strap. IP66-rated.
Super lightweight and attaches almost anywhere.
Brightness: 5–15 lumens.
Runtime: 4.5h (max steady) to 120h (eco flash).
Built-in 400mAh battery. USB-C charging.
Oldest light in my setup (3+ years). Still works great and lasts long.
Now a backup light, easy to move between bikes thanks to the versatile mounts.
Why I chose it: compact, flexible mounting, USB-C, great runtime. Affordable.
Let me know if you have questions or want close-up photos of the mounting setups. Happy to share!
