Hello there,

Getting ready for my 1st bike packing trip. Will use the set up in the pictures. I just test rode my set up and felt a bit of rubbing to my thighs from the saddle bag. Maybe have set sth off or could be because the bottom of the bag is not perfect filled?
Moreover, canyon suggests max load 120 kg I might be over few kilos max 5. I am around 100 so yeah. List of stuff I will carry below:

-Tent
-Sleeping bag
-Pillow, sleeping liner
-one extra riding clothes
-Few clothes , maybe add a small dry bag somewhere
– tent mattress
– first aid, bug spray, toothpaste etc
– a small packable bag for fetching food before camp.
– tools, inner tube etc
– 3 water bottles, maybe drop one as I will be able to find water
– power bank
– flip flops

Appreciate any suggestions and any feedback.

Not an expert here but few things come to my mind.
First of all, nice bike and color!
It looks to me that your saddle bag is really full and maybe quite heavy? Personally I would try to balance it more out with a bigger front roll.
I just did a 5days bikepacking trip and one cycle kit (bib, jersey) was enough for me. Especially because I could wash it overnight a few times. Maybe that’s possible for you too and something to think about. Anyway, enjoy your trip, it will be great ☺️

  2. When repacking the bag in future, I’ve found it helps to put harder, heavier objects at bottom of saddle bag. Reduces sway and packs out the pointy end so holds shape better against seat post. Small change that might help with any bag sway and brushing of the bag with thighs whilst peddling. I normally put spare inner tubes there for example

Also after you’ve been riding for a while each day, retighten all the straps as things will have compressed creating slack!
