Today I was putting a fender on my Crux when I noticed this screw in my tire. Swipe to see the 2nd photo where I have included a presta core for sizing.

I got out the dynaplug and got ready to make the swap. I pulled out the screw and the hole sealed. I went ahead and installed a plug, cut off the excess, spun the tire to help the Orange Seal, and topped off with air ( I lost 3 psi with the swap). Then I went out on a 2 hour ride.

This "issue" cost me maybe 5 minutes before my ride pre-ride today rather than a mid ride fix. I have no idea how long this screw has been tagging along on my rides. Last week I rode 220 miles. I would much rather take a few minutes for this fix in my garage rather than a roadside repair.

Dude I just had this happen on my new bike yesterday. Hadn’t set it up tubeless yet. Just got done putting a plug in the tire and filling with sealant. Never going back!

  2. Yea, much easier to stick a plug in it on the side of the road than a tube replacement….
