I would just take off those barends, leave them as they are, and ride it! Gorgeous, in the photo looks like new condition.

I have a bike with that groupset too. Works pretty well. Mine also has a tiny little cluster cassette too, not sure what that’s about.

Love your bike.. , its almost perfect. Those hard anodized rims, gum wall Oldschool tyres, carbon tubes , color scheme.. Wow. And yeah, im fan of ATB from 90s. They are seriously underrated. And one of mine:

2 week old set up. This was half way through its first 31 mile ride through multiple terrain. My kid seat also gets thrown on it.
