DISCLAIMER: I’m not one of those super athletes who ride ultra’s like it’s nothing. But….I DID IT! I managed to finish Gravel Birds 2025, a self-supported bikepacking ultra in the Alentejo region in Portugal. And it was amazing! It took me 4 days and 11 hours to do the 750km and +10.000 meters of elevation route. I pushed my bike up steep climbs, held on for dear life on sketchy downhills, met amazing people, slept under the stars, broke my #tailfin but did it all with a huge grin on my face. I’m hooked and definitely want to do more of these events in future!

I just ordered my first gravel bike and Iโ€™m diving deep into everything and this kind of mix between practical tips and real adventure is pure gold.
