While riding I tend to accumulate sweat in the forehead area of my helmet, and it inevitably drips all over my sunglasses. This obscures my vision and I end up having to pause frequently just to clear up my lenses.

Has anyone found a good solution to this problem? I am willing to try any helmet which can prevent this from happening. Thanks for any tips

Make sure the helmet has adequate vent holes on the shell, in addition use cycling specific glasses. My Oakley Radar EV Paths have small cutouts so air flows under the lenses, never any condensation or sweat.

  2. I used to do sweat bands but found just smearing a little petroleum jelly above my eyes and spaing a bit of a drainage guide/arc so the sweat flows off near my ears does the job just as well and it is more cooling

A neck gaiter or bandana works perfect for me. I also don’t have long hair, so it also prevents sunburn on my scalp.

  4. Wash the inside with liquid dishwashing soap. When you rinse it off, leave a very very slight coating of the soap. (i.e. wash it till the soap looks gone, but you can still feel a slight soapiness on the lenses). This will reduce, if not prevent, sweat condensing on your lenses, and any sweat that does will bead and drip down.

Least, until your sweat completely washes off the detergent coating – depends how much you sweat, and whether you put the glasses somewhere that can rub off the coating (e.g. on top of your head against your hair, or in a pocket, etc.).

  5. Headsweat skull caps are my go to. I never got along well with a halo sweatband.

  6. Those little hats w the smol visor work good for me. Also, vented glasses are great too

Not helping but I love your bike with the classic frame shape. Congrats!

I would recommend buying cheap women’s sweatbands first to get a feel for what you like

  9. Ever since I put my first halo band on my head this has been a non issue for me.
