80’s ramps as well, where ramp design wasn’t exactly as it is now, that things narrow, possibly a foot of vert on a 9ft quarter and there’s no coping! Add in a bike with suspect geo compared to to now and yup all of that being not a problem whatsoever!

I used to go to Rockville BMX in MD every summer to see these shows in the 80’s. Caught GT/Dyno, Haro, CW and Skyway. Hoffman came through first time around on team Skyway before he turned “pro” blasting 10’+ multiple trick airs on those 8’x8′ quarter pipes. It was just assumed that he was a pro at 14-15 yo because he was clearly an evolution of the bmx rider. It was incredible to witness.
