Hello fellow bikers, I got this pretty unique Barracuda A2E ´96 from the local marketplace. I would like to keep the original paint since it’s quite a rare sight, but it’s scratched a lot. I tried to sand it lightly but since there is a fading green under the grey (with a grey primer), it doesnt look good. I already have all waxes and polish from previous bike restoring so that’s not a hassle, but im not sure the result will ever be good.
Any ideas? What would you do? Powdercoating is the last option, but that would be a bummer…
Last picture is the bike like i bought it. Talking to other knowledgeable people, it seems it would be a leftover frame from the year barracuda was sold.
