Purchased my Endurace CF 7 in January, and it was just stolen. Shitty, but that’s the world we live in. Absolutely loved this bike as I upgraded from an old aluminum entry level trek road bike.

Looking to get a recommendation on purchasing a new bike (with a better lock/hide the bike better). Had a varia and favero power pedals and really enjoyed the data/safety (power data is important).

Looking to once again purchase a Canyon bike and was wondering if I should upgrade to a better model like the two others in the image or maybe go toward an Aeroroad. For some more information, I do a lot of casual rides and slow rides with the wife.. more so why I don’t think I need an Aeroroad.

Currently training for a 70.3, plan to do more races, but don’t think I’ll ever want to “compete” and more so just do races to have goals. Looking for recommendations based on the image and seeing if upgrading is worthwhile. For example, is the power crank worth it over the favero power pedals I had previously (500 dollars) that I would buy anyways.

Hoping for recommendations and will answer any questions. Really appreciate any help you all can provide and hope this post is okay. Hopefully never be in this situation again 🙁 thank you!!

  1. Forgot to mention.. just worried about the Aeroroad geometry being too much for casual rides. I ride probably 50-75 miles a week, with a long ride (40-50miles) every few weeks.

  2. Constant-Screen1939 on

I ride a Cervelo Caledonia which is somewhat similar to the Endurace (bit more aggressive), and tested the Aeroad and loved every second on it. It’s really not much more aggressive, and depending in your flexibility isn’t much more demanding.

Then again there is only a limited difference in raw speed between Endurace and Aeroad (rider makes most difference) so get the one your heart wants 🙂

Personally if I had the choice I would go Aeroad any day especially if you are going down the triathlon route- you can attach tri bars on it
