high limit screw lets it move out further, thats correct.
but it wont matter if the cable tension is too low.

Which generation of 11-speed? R7000 has a different procedure from previous versions.
Either way, this is solved by googling “front derailleur adjustment” and following the steps.

If you run on the high gears a lot, give some thought to reworking your chain line. From the photo, it looks like there is quite a diagonal.

Just to be clear, you are in the large front chainring, right? Not the small one? Could be cross-chaining, if so.

All all about limit screw adjustment along with the trim function.
The best way is to visit si.shimano.com and get the manual of your exact model. They normally have pretty detailed instructions

My ultegra Brifter has 3 positions to mitigate that. Isn’t that standard?

Can’t see if you’re in the big ring up front. If you are then yeah your limit screw needs adjustment. If you’re in the small ring up front then this is pretty normal from my experience and hard to ever get perfect. I just don’t use that gear combo, and use big ring with lower gear in back. Feels more efficient anyway

Chec the Shimano dealer manual for your specific FD model. My R7000 for instances has a somewhat unique way of adjustment that isn’t usually covered by generic tutorials.

To test the placement of your limit screw move the shifter lever into the big ring and keep pushing the lever all the way past its click until it stops moving. Hold that spot, and look down to see if the derailleur moves any further clearing the chain.
If it does not, you need to adjust the limit screw to allow more clearance. If it does clear the chain fine if you push past the click, then it probably indicates you have slack in your cable and can probably give the tension a 1/4 turn a couple times double checking the gap each time. Just make sure the outer derailleur isn’t too far out or the chain will hop right off the chainring.
It’s also possible you could get result 1 of not clearing the chain, but you need more cable tension to get that result.
Both adjustments are very easy to go too far with, make sure you’re not adjusting the lower limit screw or the rear derailleur adjustment. A little bit goes a long way. Also, when adjusting cable tension, it’s easiest to be in the small chainring, adjust, then shift back and see where the derailleur spots. Lots of shifting back and forth to adjust the cable without tension on it makes everything easier.
There’s gotta be an excellent park tool video out there.

When was the last time you replaced your cable? How frequently do you shift the front?
