LONDON MTB TRAILS are CRAZY GOOD!

In this video Wayne, Shane and I ride some of the best singletracks that Peaslake, in the Surrey Hills, has to offer on Pitch Hill and then move over to Holmbury Hill. I still can’t believe that these MTB trails are so close to London. #enduro #mtb #london

The Surrey Hills are a hub for so many outdoor people and mountain bikers are particularly attracted here because it’s only 25 minutes from London’s M25 or an hour from central London and it has some of the BEST mountain biking in England!

There’s a huge mix of enduro style routes, some seriously testing descents and a massive amount of superbly built trails, on Pitch, Holmbury and Lieth hills, so, the Surrey Hills is a great place to ride.

in this video me and a couple of buddies that is Wayne and Shane going to have a look at some of the favorite trails around the S Hills uh on Pitch Hill and hbre Hill I get to push me and my bike to new limits and have a go at something that’s been bugging me for a long time now a great big drop that actually was not that bad after all for those of you who have not had the pleasure of the Sur Hills let me show you a little guide as to how to get there our destination is a little village called peas Lake and the car park we’re aiming for is the hurtwood car park number two and it’s actually named walking bottom what a great name some of the best trails in the area start right from this car park in the village you’ll find a great Village store with some fantastic food and hot drinks you’ll also find a pub which has great food and drinks obviously and there’s also a bike shop the surprising part of all of this is it’s so close to London there’s Great Links with motorways both the M25 and the M23 very close by it’s hard to believe that there’s such good riding within a small distance from London let’s go for a ride this drop has been a nemesis of mine for many years now and it’s only now that I’ve got the aeton am 170 that I feel confident to have a go at it so here goes that’s the bit that always gets me it’s literally been e now I mean you probably hit that but even that looks catch that wrong it horrible yeah I mean to be fair if you land it nice and straight you’re absolutely fine I’ll give it a go right doing you are mate cool it was at this moment I realized just how big this drop was there’s no going back now that’s all right what have I been fussing about all this time you made it look ridiculously easy actually you did that’s huge from this end angle this was a big leap of faith it really freaked me out but after doing it this bike made such great ease of it I didn’t expect a bike to give me such a great and high level of confidence like this bike does the aeton am 170 is incredible it’s it’s breached all of my expectations check out my other video just up here to have a deeper look into my assis an AM 170 just looks comfortable it’s big from this angle yeah it is yeah wow do me a favor and take a a photograph I’m just curious to see how much my edited as you can see it’s quite a significant drop from takeoff to Landing it was um intimidating to say the least H the WR that was brilliant now considering the time of year that we’re riding here it was March and uh we’ve had a lot of rain recently as you can see it’s pretty dry uh the conditions for the trails were absolutely Prime uh lots of grip loads and loads of grip there were a few puddles and patches of uh um wetness around but uh in general it was absolutely crime conditions so if you’re looking for a destination uh throughout the winter um it drains incredibly well it is a little bit Sandy so you might have to do some extra maintenance on your bike uh but other than that it is an amazing place to go that was wicked right straight into John the Baptist or should I say B selector into John the Baptist ni whoops bit slippy room there see that puddle still there from last week oh it’s not good d little climb up to uh where John the Baptist Starts Now short sweet just like me I was catching up trying to catch you up you’re quick you’re you’re rapid right sorry if I hold you up I can your a wheel siiz was I just had your wheel just stopping and you yeah it was one of those was it same yeah it’s oh it was either FR wheel as well it’s either vicer of dibl or over the bars oh yeah w really nice go as we started on Pitch hill we decided to make a transition over towards hry Hill for more exciting trials starting off with wet and wild Can’t Stop what your brakes are like I tell you what this will be Wet n Wild uh shortly yeah it’s very nice actually it’s plenty of grip just realized I’m still locked out from that climb we go unlock slithery roots what’s that yeah yeah it’s all right is it tastes very good I don’t think I’ve ever got down there quite as flowy and smoothly normally it’s JY I think it’s getting faster and I think it makes a lot of difference to the journey like that used to give me H JB between the trees when you got that thing and now I look I you know it’s actually just like a roll it is isn’t it I thought coming out of it as well I mean you know before you couldn’t quite see the landing could you I think A lot’s been washed out and um made smooth I for sure this is crack pipe lot steeper than it looks but it’s very uh nicely running today nice and dry not for long now there a nice nice big rain cloud on its way onto the road Wy cheers blue down there yeah good that was well got nice bit of rain now straight into bar no’s best clear clear clear the loop we’ve done today sent us peas Lake Village right in the center of the two hills that we’ve done which is pitch Hill and hbre Hill oh I lost all me go go now which is particularly useful when you’re running out of energy you need a top up or you simply just need to get back into the car head home for a nice chill out for the rest of the day oh nice bit of
