I do it all of the time. Made me nervous the first time….but that was like 4-5 years ago. Now, I toss them up there and don’t think about them again.

Drove 1700 miles with one. Didn’t have to pump a pad once

I’ve had a knock-off one for years with no issues. But I still get nervous every time I use it.

I’d never put my bike on top of the car, let alone in sucktion cups LOL. But what works works huh?

Yes. I run a strap through the frame, in one door, out the other, back to bike. They are a great option for someone like me who rarely racks their bike, but if it fails I would prefer my bike to dangle on my car instead of falling off.

I guess the bikes are made fairly aerodynamic in the first place, so there isn’t that much force trying to pull them off anyway? But I know what you mean it’s a lot of trust

What are these? Where can I get them please?

I just saw these recently and I was like *there’s no flippin’ way*.

I don’t get the appeal of putting bikes on top of the car. (1) it’s a pain to lift them up over the car, prone to accidents (2) have chance of going into a height restricted area and smashing your bikes and damaging both your car and bikes (3) worse for aerodynamics.
Get a trailer hitch and get a hitch mounted rack.

I use them, bike stays put. Have to do it on my back window though as they lose some suction on cracked paint.

They almost killed Ethan so…. It’s a “No go” on those for me.
I’m kind of surprised by the number of people who haven’t seen these before

Hmmm… I like the idea of this! I have a decent hitch mount rack for three bikes, but my youngest just got her first bike, which makes 4. Seems like an easier solution than trying to sell my existing one and buy a 4 bike rack… Would really only use on very short drives.

Don’t know about fate but that bike is tempting, nice colour too

Put a big e-bike up there. I want to see the suction cups limit 😁
Off-topic questions:
Do you need to clean the roof before you put the suction cup on?
Also in the rain can you secure the suction cup?

I have a mid-sized SUV. I fold the back seats down. I slide the bike in, tilted up against the derailer side of course. Lay it down on its side and call it good. Takes less than 20 seconds.
Passengers can ride on the roof.

You will be fine.
A buddy put his bike on that bike rack and drove from Toronto to NYC and no issues.

Haha try using the AliExpress rockbros version! Every single trip feels that way even though it hasn’t given me the slightest reason to worry.
