My partner decided that we should sprinkle in some road riding with the occasional charity ride, etc. We predominantly ride trails. Told her that we would definitely not want to do those rides on our FS 29ers, so we decided to ease in a little bit. Ended up spending $400 for both of these, his and hers. I do my own mechanics, and we live in flatlands, so discs are unnecessary. Both bikes are in excellent condition. I think we did ok. His and hers no less.
