Any thoughts on this sound. Certainly wasn’t happening until my ride home this afternoon. I’ve adjusted the cable adjuster and it doesn’t seem to be solving the issue.
Tha alfine hubs are known to be pretty reliable, but when I was in a Brompton Junction a week ago, the owner said that he’d been having failures of a small plastic retainer ring in a number of the G-lines he’s recieved (I’ve sold dozens of the hubs over the years, and never had issues outside of serious neglect)
If you are sure that the cable is returning smoothly, and the hub is adjusted properly with the yellow lines aligned, then you should have it looked at by a mechanic that has experience with those hubs. They are pretty quick and easy to disassemble and check. Happily, Shimano has a two year warranty, so if it’s failed, it should be taken care of. Nice bike, I’m jealous:)

Could it be brake related?
