Welcome to the second part of my jaunt around Jaywick. This time at the ‘Never Say Die’ pub to interview some charismatic Irish Travellers.

Join me as I learn about the culture and some modern day changes in the Traveller community…and of course there’s always the Traveller banter to entertain you!

Cheers

  1. Im what the travelling community call a gorger ,,and im with a romanie gypsy girl and have been for over 10 years, i know many travellers and hand on heart most are lovely people. You get ya good and bad in any community.

  2. He is defo right about you are better off fighting even if you lose. Happened to me years ago ,and i lost .But the guy left me alone after that ,and even became friendly.
I guess it was because i fought back.
Plus i threw the first punch.

  3. Irish Travelers are in hot water in the US. They fcked with the wrong guy.
I imagine many of them will go missing in TX. We are armed over here. Lots of wide open spaces in TX.
7 on 1. Isnt appreciated in the US. Fckin cowards.

  4. Traveler's have a bad stereotype but these Traveler's show that there's good and bad in every group if i ever see these guy's when i vist jaywick i will definitely buy them all a pint

  5. 10:16 just gave it away for the travellers that your man would get a few pints in him and fight anyone like why would you even say that like would ya not just say I'm only out here for a good time or a quite drink? Your not giving the travelling community a good name for even saying or even thinking that you would fight anyone with a few drinks in ya like know one wants to fight when their having a drink unless your like the young scumbags who want to fight and cause trouble but yee look like older men, that's why most pub owners are so against the travellers

  6. Salt of the earth good lad's and lasses… the travellers I've met have always been good people… genuine…I know they've got a bad rep by some but I've never seen it… infact it's undeserved in my opinion because as anyone with a brain knows there's good and bad in all people's nobody is without sin… only hypocrites try put down the travellers

  7. lol my mum and dad were from Belfast and when growing up if I got hit I would run home crying and my ma or dad would grab me and lay in to me by the time I got to 6 I didn’t care how big or how old the bullies were they were never as scary as I mum & dad and when some were bigger and older and they got in to me and as long as I tried my best in fighting back then mum or dad would come to the rescue lol once dad went to town no one wanted to bother me especially when he went to their dads door and started dragging them out and going to town in front of the bullies! The Irish are a different breed and I’m so proud to have had parents from Belfast!
