[Music] [Applause] Marshall Walter Taylor, nicknamed the Black Star by the French newspapers. Nothing to do with Star Wars, yet he rides at the speed of light. He would be the first black man to represent the USA on track cycling. In 1898, Taylor competes versus Kimble, Kentucky champion. A few years after the sensation war ended, this event became political. The south, Kimble versus the north, Taylor won flat out. It also demonstrate how much track cycling started the whole thing.
