Doing a little window shopping to upgrade my 2018 Trek Checkpoint ALR5.
Do I need to upgrade? No. Do I want to? Yes.
I wouldn’t be able to test ride either of these to get a proper feel for the bike so looking for reviews or word of mouth reviews of either of these bikes!
Some basic questions I have:
Is micro suspension actually worth it?
Will be riding on all surface types, gravel, dirt, tarmac – what one would be the best for all three?
I intend to bikepack as well – is one more suited for that than the other?
Titanium the way to go?
