I've had this bar end bell of Canyon for over a year and have been very happy with it. However, on my last ride, the spring mechanism became loose, causing the bell to ring whenever I ride over a bump or accelerate. As far as I can tell, no parts are broken or missing.
I contacted Canyon's customer support about this issue and asked if there was a way to fix it or if replacement parts are available. Unfortunately, their response was brief, stating that there are no replacement parts or a way to fix the problem. Since they replied within half an hour, I suspect they didn't want to spend much time and effort on it.
I find it a pity to throw this bell away without attempting to fix it. Has anyone else encountered this problem and managed to fix it?
