I wouldn’t touch this kinda bike, because I’ve given up alcohol and plan to stay that way.

Hose too long and it slaps around in the downtube, hose too short and you can’t steer. All for the low price of $10k

Happy times when we thought press fit BBs were the shittiest cycling innovation

  4. Soon smaller brands will be marketing a return to simplicity like they did when pressfit BBs were a thing. Already seeing a small backlash from roadies regarding hookless rims.

Can you pull the lines from the back end to take the slack out? Maybe undo the brake calipers from the frame and pull from that end while you put the cockpit on, then reattach them after things are sorted out in the front?

I have no idea, I’ve never worked on this type of bike but it’s the only thing that came to mind

i dont know that bmc but i have a canyon lux with a steering-angle-limiter and a wonderfull baseplate-insert needing to fit the lines and face the right direction, which may or may not turn relative to the fork once inserted between it and the bearing. for hydraulic lines its 80% force for me and it works like a charme (afterwards)

  7. Have sold a few like that they are an absolute pain in the backside to finish assembly and set up from the box and can be a nightmare to work on as a repair especially if they need new cables or hoses.

  8. I know it’s a pain, but I kinda like this idea. It allows for all frames to be fully integrated, not just 1 1/8 top and bottom headsets.
