A few impressions from my weekend ride I thought you might enjoy. I went from Small Enz Valley via lake Kaltenbach to the infamous Hohloh aka Kaltenbronn, offering a great view into Murg valley. After that, I headed to Dobel, another small village, while enjoying another scenic view along the way. The descent from Dobel to Enz Valley is epic as always.
Choosing to include long gravel segments allowed me to avoid most of the self-proclaimed "racers" in sports cars or on motorcycles. Only the majority of descents were on the road as I feel safer on tarmac whereas gravel descents can feel quite sketchy on slick tires.
Btw it gets really quiet deep in the forest – sometimes too quiet. After some time, it starts to become mentally draining since every corner seems to look alike and these endless stretches of gravel make you lose a sense for gradients. It was a constant up and down but the eyes mistakenly recognised it as a "flat" path.
The rougher segments containing lose gravel were a bit challenging to navigate through on slick Gravelkings – but that's all part of the fun, right? I really enjoyed the ride and can definitely recommend it!

Geil! Would love to ride there!
These pictures are truly beautiful! I especially love the 17th one, it looks straight out of a fairytale.
Can you share the Komoot GPX?
Such a cool bike, that colorblocked frame looks great.
