[Music] After the second rest day, the Jedalia resumed with the second and final time trial of the race. 28.6 km against the clock. Everybody ready? A different day at TT. First the recon, then the waiting, the super fans around, and then the effort itself. The weather was also in Clement. Rain in the morning, a few crashes in the recon. But how would it go in the afternoon? Starting in the walled city of Luca and heading over the hill, heading to Pisa. The race would finish by its famous leaning tower. The climb over San Juliano, the only difficulty, the lefts and rights. A couple of time checks, a second coming at Ashano about 2/3 of the way through the race. Couple of crossings of the river Arno before finishing in Pisa’s pata de Mirai Miracle Square. Nobody needing one just yet, but some were looking to undo the damage caused by the gravel stage on Sunday. Ethan hater was the early rider to follow and he’d go through the time checks picking off Michael Hburn’s good strong times. By the time he got to the finish, it was clear he was on the way to the hot seat. 40 seconds quicker than the Australian. Edoard Rafini, the European champion. So close on many occasions to a judo stage. He was close again here. Not quite close enough, however. Hater in the lead with the 3240. Dan Haller, Dutch time trial champion. A rider who’d only ever won a race in his native Netherlands, but he’s becoming such a solid, dependable rider. And he was doing so on the time trial bike again. Quicker than hatred at the first check and riding towards the end with roads still dry after the rain in the morning and the forecast of more of it in the afternoon. He kept the pace high, took 10 seconds out of haters time, 3240 his very quick time. Josh Tarling, the British champion, had won the first time trial of the Got that was in Albania. Here this was longer and on Italian roads. He was good at the first check, quicker than Dan, the quickest by 17 seconds. He was held up ever so briefly, a couple of twists and turns. Miguel Honor starting a minute in front of him and not knowing much about that. All started to get excited at the second time check. Talling having lost time, a 21 second swing in the center of the parkour. How would it be when he got to the finish? Tarling was giving his all. Looking for stage win number two. But all would hang on. Second place quicker than hater. All the Dutch champion quicker than the two Brits. Consia Milan were interested spectators. Everybody was an interested spectator as Primoich looked about setting to try and take back time he lost through crashes and punctures on the Stra Bike. But the rain was starting to fall, the conditions changing. The times were pretty good from Roglitch. And it became clear that Haller had a real chance of hanging on. Rugglitch finishing a minute down in the end. A minute and 15 exactly. But how would the other GC riders get on? Simon Yates was one of the best of the rest. A superb performance on the time trial bike from the Vismalisa bike man. He was moving up in the GC. Julio Corner, the Italians watching him, his teammate watching him from the hot seat. He was about saving the day as the rain really started to come down at the finish. Not ideal for Chic Cornet, but staying upright. Well, that was certainly a pass for most. How would Antonio Tiberi do starting the day on the podium? It looked like he was attending swimming lessons at some point. It was absolutely pouring down and continued to do so. But Teddy was doing okay. He wasn’t with Primosglitch, but he was certainly defending his honor. Well, he’d finished 153 down on Haller. Only two riders were left to cross with Haller still in the lead. One Ausso, one who could really threaten him. He started in second place, a minute 13 down on his teammate and he was having to be very careful. Seconds going here and there, but the rest of the parkour he was looking good in the white jersey due to Del Toro in pink. 41 down and slightly slower than Primos Roglitch at the start. The second time check was good for Ausso, but he would again lose a bit of time towards the end. Auso quicker than Simon Yates. Not quite as quick as Primo, who had set about taking back some of the 1 minute 12 deficit to him. Could Toro hang on in pink? Well, before the day, you’d have said pretty easily so, but the rain really was affecting everything. having to take the corners with more care, having to just stay in the race. He was well down at the first check, recovering a bit at the second check, and it looked as though he was going to be able to hold on versus his teammate to the Mayar Roza. In the end, he defended beautifully. Isak del Toro. Yes, 222 down on the winning time of Dan Olup, but still in the Mayoa. All up, the tallest rider in the Gloali at 1 m 98. lifted off to success. A first grand tour stage win. A glorious moment for him and a fourth stage win for Trek. That is very big Jirro for them. A 7-second victory over Tarling, 10 over hater. Ha marking this judo with the biggest moment of his career. He emerged from the chaos and the rain. Isag del Toro holding on by 25 seconds to the Malar Roa, but Roglitch up from 10th to fifth. Yates up to fourth. Terry still holding on to the podium. Another day in the Malar Roa for Mexico’s finest. Isak Bel Toro, one of the young stars of the Pelatin, holding on as the Pelatin go back to racing on the road. Starting in Varjo, close to Luca and then up a couple of climbs that have been missing from the Jurro route for some time. S Pelgrino in Alpe, a very famous climb. So difficult, but a long, long way from the finish before the climbs continue. The Red Bull sprint coming at Villa Mino and then the finish in Castell Novon Monty. Not too far away from a final climb. It promises to be a big stage. Almost 4,000 meters of climbing. You can watch it with us on TNT Sports.

  2. I think there is going to be a war within the UAE, which will allow a window for Primo, Richie, and others. Too many egos and crazy management

  3. Call me crazy but I feel Isaac is thinking he has better legs than Ayuso and will do better in the mountains provided his team lets him. He used his minute advantage to minimise risks and make sure he still has the maglia rosa when that happens.

  4. UAE would be nuts to not let Del Toro race for the win. Del Toro and Ayuso make a devastating one-two punch against anyone else in this race. That said, I hope Roglic can make it to the podium and even contend for the win.

  5. The Palestine flags at the finish line could barely be more visible. At every UCI race for over a year. UCI certainly nailing their colours to the mast aren't they? Politics will just never stay out of sport will it. It is all so tiresome.

  6. I really wish they wouldn't put the map in whatever color they do onto the green. I see the marker moving, but I see nothing but green.

  7. Ayuso looking great again – took time on all the favs but Roglic, and had to deal with rain at the end, whereas Primoz didn't. Still my fav for his first GT win.

  8. Was he ever out of it? He was never more than 1:10 from the best placed GC contender, and 1 minute can be lost and gained easily in the mountains

  9. Que Padre Wei! Mero*Mero kept Fucsia, & White (Off Course). The Battle weighted. Ayus😮 Cap😮 di tutti Capi. Then Adam, NcNulty. I'm just 4th at Bat. RBI

  10. the new met drone helmet losing out to the old version today. not a great look for them, considering this rider has had essentially free choice to pick that one
