The National Emergency is that the Government are Housing Illegal immigrants. And building vast estates for them. Plus land lords are converting properties into multi OCCUPATIONAL DWELLINGS to house them as well. WHERE DOES THAT LEAVE THE BRITISH PEOPLE.
Lot easier for government to deal with a handful of housing oligarchs than thousands of whining homeowners. The peasants are never going to give you a consultancy later…
I retired in Thailand. I am debt free and live below my means. I love it here. Living expenses are low.
1. Housing – Condo fully furnished, that is a five-minute drive to the beach, the rent is $207 + elec & water $105 = $312/month, (I have a video of the Condo)😀
2. Food – I eat out all the time – $360 (shrimp fried rice with vegetables and an egg = $2.05)
3. Vehicle – 2022 Honda ADV 150 rental – $160
4. Debts – I do not pay others for money I do not have.
5. Care – Haircut -$3, other stuff – $20
6. Insurance – Health $145/Month (I am over 60) $250,000 policy
7. No pets
8. $25 – google phone
9. Gas – I fill up about once every 3-4 weeks Scooter $20
10. Services – $40 (my Wifi speed is 927 mb/s down, 513 mb/s up, $19/month)
Total = $1,082, I live in Pattaya Thailand
I did not include entertainment. You live next to the beach; you can get a beer in a bar on the beach for $2.50.

I paid $2,600 for my Custom Metallic Lamborghini Orange 2022 Honda ADV 150, so I do not have a scooter Payment.
You can buy a condo like mine for $30,000.

The Thai People are great (land of smiles). Crime is very low; so low I do not worry about it. I left my phone on my motorbike for four hours. When I came back it was still there (I have done this twice so far).

You could be speaking about Australia here too, exact same thing happening here. I'm in Australia. We have a housing crisis too, they just don't want to talk about it officially. Australia should ban foreigner's coming over and buying up the properties to rent them out, ( usually its the Chinese ) or the latest trend is to have property just sitting there empty.. as an investment incase shit hits the fan in their countries, they have somewhere to go. Governments have no idea what its like to find somewhere to live/rent and be competing against hundreds, I mean hundreds of applicants. The queue's just to view a property go on forever, but we're still letting migrants in!

This video is flawed. It doesn't include toxic tenants who don't pay their rent and go on holiday with the money instead and trash the property. Oftentimes it's tax payers money that's been abused. If you don't pay your mortgage the property gets repossessed. Nobody complains about that.

Why don't you mention the social housing stock in Tower Hamlets London? 70% or more is occupied by immigrants who live of state welfare has pushed British citizens out and the mayor wants to build more homes for them with one bedroom for each child of the immigrants. Meanwhile the British citizens have been on the waiting list for more than a decade without success. You'll find immigrants from Ethiopia Bangladesh Jews and so on! No wonder the British people are getting furious! Social housing in most of London Councils is for immigrants!
