Right, welcome to my um bike tour along the river. We’re going to do some beaten tracks. We’re going to go all the way through from here to Winston Park. We’re at the back of Winston Park here. Um all the way right to Riverside Road. Um we’re going to do we’re going to literally come down there, take a left at the blue sign. I will lally show you all the way through all the way around the back. Any questions down um you want anything about this you want to see, let me know. Wait, follow me. [Applause] [Music] [Music] And we’ll go back down here there. just literally come from back from Wson [Music] Park. Then we’re going to have a blue sign on the left. Show off the shaking a bit. It’s a bit bumpy around here. Try and keep that to a bare minimum where I [Music] can. You’re going to do is you’re going to take [Music] that. You’re going to take a left here. under the trees. Through the trees and you keep going through the river on the left, there’s a few swims and stuff you could possibly later on when the growth is a bit further back you could go on. I mean, literally the river and the bit of the park is there. Right, we’ll stop and start just to see if I see anything of interest. There’s a little swim there. Nice little swim, but that’s probably too shallow there to be fair. Keep going all the way down here. Try and keep up this slot. We don’t have a swim [Music] [Music] here. Back tracks. Don’t understand. It’s a few lily. Quite shallow here though. [Music] Um, let’s see [Music] [Music] here. Keep going. Watch for the roots. Still got track. It should come out. But it will come out at the back [Music] here. You can see the track. It’s quite narrow. It’s good enough for a bike though. It’s fine. It’s quite safe. still literally on the back there. You got a normal walkway to the right where everyone normally walks. We’re doing a bike tour today. Um it’s called my fishing adventures. But what I’m trying to do as well, I’m just trying to put you um in touch with your rivers. This is river wom. It’s getting to the point where it’s been fished, but in my opinion, lovely little swim there. In my opinion, the fish are still here, but the anglers aren’t. And I think people should start fishing it more like they used to back in the 80s, ’90s. All right. There’s car park, but nothing you can’t accessible by a little trailer and a little trailer and a um and a push bike you can get to. You’ll see the tracks. I mean, these catch tench here to the left tench. Um we got here roach dace a few chub left pike pike on this side carp. We got a few carp spotted about um they’re few and far between. We’ve got to be a bit stealth and be a bit more wise. Personally, I’ve never caught river car, but something I’d like to do in the future. I’ve not really not really targeted personally, but you know what I mean? He’s got a lovely little swim here. I mean, you can see things topping there. Lovely little bit. MFI. That’s par. That here is here is Duke Street. Now coming [Applause] out. Oh, we’re now coming out as you can see um at this part. Watch my skids. Skitty skidding on the coming up here now. Coming to the red bridge. Few swims here. If you enjoy stuff like this, you know, I’m happy to keep using this and um just put it down below and see if what you want. And I mean, I’m going to probably do a bit of bree fishing. going to do some um chub fishing, but I’m going to target the bigger chub this year um by cheese paste. I’m going to put a cheese paste video on there. my recipe. Um, the way I go about cheese paste, traffic lights here, literally stopping here for the traffic lights. Got a double set of traffic lights. This one here used to be looks like an old toilet. crossing the road. This road can be a bit manic sometimes. What I’m going to lally come over the other side of the road is um back in New Mills yard few tents come out of there. Got a lot of runners around here. Dog walkers, few fishermen hopefully after this a few more. Um, you got river on the now you got river on your right down there which is the back of the mill which I have put a video on here previously. I mean I’ve got a few topping on there. I lost up a few times. Long mill swim on the left the right hand side there. Got a back of the mill which I always think is really impressive. I amount of water that must pump out on a daily basis. Just just unbelievable. It’s clever. Really one of them things what happens every day but people don’t really pay a lot of attention to. And you got road works coming on your right hand side now which is down there. You cannot get down there anymore. Not for a little while. I think they’re digging it up now. The back of the mill. That’s This is the front of the mill. Um probably will be round about at the start of the season. Yeah, this will be I’ll keep going. Got houses here to to the left here. River to the [Music] right. It’s quite cloudy today. We’ve had some lovely weather in the last few days. Um, choose choose a day like this. Just a bit overcast. The problem is with the sun, you can’t really see a lot. Now, this probably will going to be the first day of the season. Got houses to the left again on the cheese post. Got lovely arches here. Look. [Music] See them? It’s lovely. Right, carry on all around this track and get over a bike. Just watch for people coming the other way. Be a bit considerate. Take your time. No need to speed down here. Nice little swim as well, which I’m probably going to be on the first day of the season, which I will put on. Um, another little swim down here, which is you want to be fishing around this sort of area. Got veils, but I’m used to them now. We’re coming back. We’re coming here. This flats on the other side of the road. Watch a little bridge. This is what the blue bridge. [Music] Um, nice little area as well. It’s a bit overcast today, so it’s hard to see any fish. That chub sits around here as well. Now going to come up to a bit. This is on the other side of the road. This has got a higher wall now since they’ve rebuilt this. Um, but it’s still fishable. And cross the road up here. [Music] You want to go down left hand, but there’s a big butt down here. Please remember this is a dead end. So, I’m just going to come down here for purposes for fishing. Do not try and walk down here. Do not try and bike down here. I will tell you again and again and again, it’s a dead end. Um, I must tell when I fish down there, probably over 40 to 50 people, this is a dead end. As you will see, it’s a dead end. Now, it’s a lovely little spot this dead end is for fishing, but not good for walking. What you have to do is where we just turned in is not turn in there. Okay, we will turn round which you will be doing if you come down this way. Um go back on yourself. Okay. If you want to go to the other side of the river, um what you want to do is don’t go that way at all. When you came past over the road, you want to follow up the premier in and the premier in is above us. Premier in is get this on this bike. this building here. Right. Then you see a set of traffic lights. Take a right. Right up here at the traffic lights. Take a right. So take a right down here. Golden Star Pub. Movement doesn’t work. That’s the free school. Jane Austin. Come down here. Sorry. Then take a right again. Take a right again. Just down here. And you come up to the last bar. It’s going to be cold. And up here you got the playhouse. Playhouse. Playhouse is on the right. house. Many gigs and stuff goes there. Many things still do happen there and brutes and stuff. Just look online come. This is the steel bridge. That’s a river riverside walkway there. [Applause] I always call this the back of the mischief, but I not quite sure what it’s called, but um this is something you can look up. You got the bell, the bell here, the ribs, you know, I got the bell and the ribs here. Um you got mischief there. glass house. Want a drink? Stop for a drink. Um, excuse me. It’s me. And um as you’ll see on some of my videos, I do have a inhaler, but can be a bleed at times. What the there going to come back from the mischief down these steps? There’s a step on you. You just got to watch through here which is then in the back of the mischief cobblestone. Look what an old pub that is. My local Good man. Oh god. Voy chair. We’re going to go on to a key side then. All these things say all different um this used to be a port back in the day for boats. um main dock, one of the docks and stuff. Yarmouth feeding off Yarmouth a long time ago. Right, we’re going to need to get a drink. Excuse me. I need a drink. What? Bring that up a bit. Right. Yes. Well, we are at Keyside. Um I normally fish off this wall um coming at the end of start of the season, but there’s loads of brambles this year, but hopefully they die back. Um we’re going to go from keyside keyside. Then you’ll literally get to another bit which is near the back of Jerald’s. Um then we’ve got another bridge. We’ve got cow Tower, Cow Tower, Riverside. Right. I hope you can keep following us. Anything you want to see, let me know. I mean, this is Norwich, you know. So many people look in Norwich with their heads down. Look up, you know. I mean, we’ve got a great city. It’s a great city. I mean, it’s full of history. Great places to go. Great place to go on your bike as well. Um, lots of different paths and stuff. Lots of the weaving bit everywhere in Norwich. Long as you’re a little bit considered to other people. Yeah. [Music] And uh yeah, she’s okay. Um she’s a lot better in herself uh for leaving work anyway. I think just did a good job. There we go again. This whole thing will probably about an hour long, I reckon. Um, but it’s up to you where you want to find the video, where you want, what interests you, anything river related. um anything river related or anything to do with the river especially how river went from give a ping down the bottom if I don’t know I know people will know about this river um going up on it not just me but I know some great people as well which are more than happy to help if you if you need any information about anything about the river went where to any matches coming up. I don’t personally do matches, but if you want your match on the river, just ping a message down the bottom and I’ll find out where it’s taking place, when what sort of thing you’re into. Um, yeah, just keep I’ll keep you updated really what the river is doing. Now, river is the minute is going down. Now, we’ve had a bit less water, but it will sort itself out. It always does. We underestimate sometimes the power of nature and how it can just adjust really quickly. This bit you just have to wait for people. Some lovely houses around here. Beautiful houses. I mean lovely little cottages. A place you can fish down there around the steps. Nice little It’s a big hip bit here. Deep bit here. Around. Deep bit around here. If I can get it around here on that corner bit. It’s a big old hole there. Thank you. Just be a little bit considerate to the people. Come to here. We’re now going to go towards the courts. Any name of things? ping me if you want the name of something. We’re going to the lower courts here, small courts and the big court is in this part. [Music] Um, got to watch this road. It can be a bit hazardous. Look left and right at all times. There’s a little bike weave thing here which is a little bit of a pain but you should expect this comfort then old sit knowledge you’ve got to adjust I know coming Back back James’s Mill. People just walk past all the time. Do not look. Yeah, that’s the James Mill. What you’ll see there’s little signs and stuff everywhere. Um when you look I will take you to the left and I will keep the other roughly around the river way. You see the tracks? Just put you to the left a little bit to see where we are. Coming through here. Big old gates here. New houses have been built up here. I’ve seen this full of stuff before in the past. You got the puppet showers, puppet theater as well. The oldest puppet theaters. [Music] Little railings here, but still fishable. Still fishable. Little pike in the corner there. Perch. Big perch. Just got to choose your time. They drift down from the mill. They all start at the mill and all drift down. There you go. There’s fish here. Just got to hunt a bit. Um, it’s a bit breezy today. I hope you can hear me well. Hope you can hear me better than you were before. It’s not been good the sound, but I am trying to work on it. I really am. Um if you bear with me and any suggestions might be helping you know follow it till you die. Well, yes, we’re now going to go through the arch heading towards um Cow Tower on this little arch here. Watch yourself. Little swim on the left hand [Music] side. Come on through the tracks here. [Music] Lovely part of the river. This is literally fish [Music] [Applause] here. Let’s see if we got [Applause] one. Got a bridge here. Another little spot on the left hand side there for brain. Got a brain there. [Applause] Big old spot here which I mean may I know if it’s just someone else and my brother fish there which is a big old spot this bit. Two people swim carp spotted there sometimes um bit later on in the season that big brain just literally a rod length out ping to do this little we bed they just sit feed tons just feed lots and lots just keep feeding and night fish it you can’t put night fish this much as they might not think you can and you’re locked in just give them a bit of warning We’re now coming up to the cow tower. Um yeah, we’re coming up to the cow tower. A lot of this is a ground. Big old tree. Crow tower on the left hand side swims around here tracks and then coming up to the red line. So, yep. Come up to the red line and come around here as well. Nice bits of swim around here. That’s a bit of a grown, but here’s some seats here that go around. Coming through the red line. Lot of gates through the gates. Car park the red line. Lot promotions are going in there. Back through here. Come through here. We’re literally heading towards Riverside now. Little paths under the trees. You’ve got the Cathedral School to the right of you. River to the left of you. [Applause] This cathedral school over there. Yeah. Heat. Right. Yeah. Carrying on through here. [Music] Land station if you want to get a train to go down [Music] to I’ll never let you down. Little time to go there. Watching people come the other way. I’ll never let you down here off to the left of you. Little bridge coming [Music] over. Never know [Music] you. If you’re on a bike, which way we are, we’re going to take a right in a minute, but if you’re walking, you can just keep walking straight straight up the steps. Um and then you literally um we’re up the steps and then cross the road to a to a station. But you want to be on bike, take a right here. [Applause] [Applause] which we’re now going to come towards the complete angler which is on you. Go left here and we’ll cross over and you’ll see the station to your left. I’m on the path, but keep on the road if you can. [Music] Cross road station is literally ly there. No, no station going to Yarmouth, Chroma, Lower, London. All destinations really or lead off somewhere else. Just waiting for traffic lights. We can’t take a while. Here we go. Lost the traffic lights. Station’s on the left. [Music] [Music] Thank you. So this is Riverside, the cool side. As you can see, the river’s on your right. You got Pizza Hut down here. You got Five Guys down there. You got Morrison’s down there. Um, you got Odon down here. You got Weather Springs down here. If you lot people just come to Norwich and they literally get off the train and come here. But as you can see today, there’s a lot more to explore in than this. It’s a nice little bit, don’t get me wrong. I picked that five Big white bridge. Gravity. Gravity is literally over this part over there. The left behind behind Five Guys. A few more restaurants and stuff going to be over the other side of the road, which is to the the right of looks like. That’s a nice little place, which I’ve eaten before, which is this one. It’s nice. It’s a bit expensive, but Oh, it’s lovely. It’s worth it. bridge. You got all of your cabins which are happening down there. You go up there. You’ve got the weather spoons here. All your things you need go in. this bit along that road, along that path. We’re going to head down here and finish the tour at the bottom. If there’s any other parts of the river, I’ll probably do um the other side as well. Another day. Um if you want it Whitam Lane, it’s called if you want Whitam Lane. Um there’s some bits which are access to weights. Other bits what aren’t go through these two gates here. Nice little swims here. Boats and people likes this much. That was quite an old building at one time or probably is still an old building. What they use it for? No one knows. I don’t know. But it could be I think it’s forot. I think that not quite sure actually first steep now the tire is now going up to it here but really this is I norally use this bit for winter ideally you can use it for some I’m not saying you can’t there’s no fish here but I norally use this for piping just a little bit deeper um this is if they are around the pipe they want me to sit in this part all the way along Yeah. Heat. Here we go. Lots of pigeons up there. Lots of parts to fish. Fish all this part. Some big pike. There used to be some big pes sitting there but before the seal got to them. There’s still a few and still bring them at the back wall. Rocks and lots of pigeons they come up here trying to get through them. Yeah. Coming to the end of the tour now. Bike tour you want to call it. Um we got boots as well to the left hand side. Morrison’s behind this swimming pool. Riverside swimming pool. any anything else you want to know bit later on um just leave a comment down below. But as you can see this path leads um literally to uh the football ground. So at the end of this road in this road which is about here it will you’ll be come out of the football ground. This river ends at the bridge. Um and I hope you enjoyed it. Hope you enjoyed it.
