It’s essentially a road, without cars (except for one maybe every 5 to 10 minutes).
Better than 100% of bikelanes. Wide, unobstructed, no silly traffic lights that have you wait 5 minutes at 3 individual lights for a single left turn.
There are a lot of those in my city, they are pretty much the best type of bike lane.
Edot: Although it’s hard to tell how fast the bus is going. If its above 50km/h, i see whats sketchy about it.

In the mirror it says anal sub!?

The main sketchiness arises from bus drivers using their phones while driving to record video. Please don’t.
Almost all bus lanes are cycle lanes here. It’s not a huge problem. Allowing taxis in bus/cycle lanes is a big problem.

I understand this is a bus POV, and as you can see the bus is going like 30kph, and there’s okay visibility. It’s not perfect but nothing outrageous imo, and I’d take that over many dodgy cycling lanes I’ve seen in different countries of Europe in my life.

We have these in Chicago, IL USA and they’re great when car drivers don’t illegally use them as well. Much wider than a normal bike lane.

This is normal in and around Seattle. Bus drivers are far less likely to plow down a cyclist than a regular car diver, their entire livelihood depends on it.
Your point stands, this shouldn’t be the norm. There should be separate infrastructure.

I think if there’s any objection I’d make to this it’s that the lane doesn’t seem to be quite wide enough for the bus. Other than that I’m cool with it because if a bus driver does dodgy shit it’s merely a matter of a quick call to their employer and it’s going to be dealt with, unlike the majority of drivers on the road who feel anonymous and entitled to hurt you.
