It’s an older bike. Personally, I wouldn’t spend more than 500-750 on it.
Whats the Group set ? 1k für 13 years old sounds to much for my feeling and in the picture the Frame Looks Like alu

Hello, if possible it is better to go on a bike with a disc brake, the geometries have evolved a lot in recent years, it will be more comfortable and pleasant.
Carbon is only of interest if we seek to have a better yield.
The image is a little blurry, but those look like welds to me.

The wheels are form Superteamwheels.com and are pretty decent (about 400 bucks I’d say). The frame looks okay-ish for a 2012 (guess it wasn’t used that much). Still for a 1000 buck you’ll find better ones if you look around a bit.
Get the model number and research it. That frame does not look carbon fiber to me. But maybe it is? I’ve never seen CF with joints that look exactly like welds. Nothing wrong if it’s not CF. My most frequent rider is a steel frame.

This is a 400.00 USD bike.
The wheels are carbon but that frames 100% aluminum. Shimano Sora 9 speed. My 2017 trek 1.2 had a very similar setup and that wasn’t even 1k new (excluding wheels.) It’s a decent bike and it’ll ride nice, but that’s a very steep price
