Here's a quick rant, sales ad and appreciation post of my old bike. It's been a really nice ride!

It's funny and sad to me how shit the market for used bmx's is nowadays at least up here in Finland.

Just found myself a crazy deal on a S&M CCR build I just had to get instantly. No need for two bikes so put my WTP Battleship up for sale for 499€.

Around a week later: zero interest.
Not even any lowballers or stupid trade offers for a ps4 or iphone with a cracked screen.

Luckily I'm not in a rush to get rid of this and can thank the same shitty market for getting my S&M for cheap.

Anyway, this thing is up for grabs for 499€+shipping. I work at a bike shop so can pretty easily ship to most european countries.

Frame: WTP Battleship 21"
Fork: Odyssey R25
Wheels: Shadow Truss cassette w/ 2.4 Path Pros
Cranks: Fly Dolmen 175mm
Chainring: BSD Superlite 28t
Eclat bars, stem, headset and seat

DM for any details!

Yep. I built a brakeless Sunday! Second wave up with all top-shelf parts from Sparky’s Distribution (Shadow Conspiracy & Sputnic parts. That company also does Subrosa & Rant)

$1,400 in parts cost only, I did the labor. I’ve tried selling it over the years from injury and aging. Best offer I ever got was $180 + a used skateboard lol

Strip it and sell the parts separately on ebay. People don’t buy other people’s builds generally, but people who are building their own want parts.

  3. Used sales just like new sales are down massively this past year, only way to attract interest is a price no one can ignore, which means inevitably you’ll sell for a lot less than you want. I’m not saying what you’ve priced it at is wrong, far from it. Strip is sell the parts and frame separately

  4. If you part it out.. you might get more money. Just at a slower time rate lol

It’s never worth it. I have 4 bikes in my basement, kink, 2 fits, and a s&m. The s&m is my baby and was over $2k alone. I’ll never sell any of them because nobody would ever pay more that 200 for a used bike

Yes, unless it’s a classic 80s or early 90s BMX you can’t really sell them for what they’re worth. And even the classic ones you have to sell outside of your region on eBay and deal with the shipping hassles.

Just part it out, you’ll get more… The Forks, cranks and wheels will move quick
