Before sunrise, I set out with my G Line folding bike for a 25 km ride featuring a total ascent of 183 meters, with the steepest climb at 20% and the sharpest descent at 25%.
The route loops around two reservoirs in Chiayi City, and in the photo, you can see the flamboyant phoenix flowers in full bloom at the base of the Renyitan Dam.
After a 180 km long-distance ride the day before, this short recovery ride was a great way to enhance the training effects from the previous day.
The G Line gives me tremendous riding pleasure and a strong sense of security. Its hydraulic disc brakes give me confidence on steep slopes, making it far superior to the 16-inch T Line.
With the same folding mechanism and compact folded size as a regular Brompton, it’s perfect for 4+2 travel (bike + car/train) and easily integrates with public transportation.
The small wheel size also adds to the fun. It accelerates effortlessly from a stop, encouraging me to pause more often and enjoy scenic spots along the way, rather than just powering through like a road racer who hates to stop once they get going!
