  1. I really don't get, why the organizers wouldn't sent a column of road sweepers ahead of the peleton to clean the road of dirt and pollen … Get 3 big trucks away they go. Especially in early summer, when everything is blooming, you will get a soapy surface, when mild rain is on. How many big crashes have we seen in the rain on big races? Far too many imo.
Another issue is tyre technology, the best tyres ever, but only for one set of conditions. Where are the intermediate and heavy wets (speaking in petrol racing terms)?

  2. How is that dangerous concrete brick not sorted before the race. These organisers, and safety officials are so shit. Don't they do a route recce to make sure everything is safe.

  3. I thinks it ridiculous that the race is stopped! If you ride in the peleton you get huge benefits but you know there is a risk of being caught in a crash. Probably 1 out of 50 you get caught in a crash but 49 you get the benefits of doing very little work for a lot of it. However the 2 guys in the breakaway bust their assets to escape the peleton, they ride 147km solo and have to be stopped.. This is bullshit, they should be allowed to reap the rewards for being brave. Secondly it would force more attacks and breakaways potentially as its safer to be out of the peleton. Stopping for a fall at the back is nonsense, you took that risk sitting in the bunch

  4. I don't understand why the teams don't have spare wheels with wet weather specific tyres like in car and motorcycle racing, you would think that the manufacturers would be all over this as it gives them the opportunity to sell us more stuff!

  5. 저게 설렁설렁가는게 아니고 거의 50키로에 육박하는 속도다 보니까 제어가 절대 안되나봄 ㅠ_ㅠ 진짜 극한직업이네

  6. It's not disc brakes, or rim brakes- it is how you use them. The trouble they had with with the slick conditions was compounded by them riding so close together at high speeds. Not everyone crashed but everyone was in various degrees of danger. It is an inherently risky sport, especially after a light rain that comes after a long dry spell.
