bit of illness. He’s had a bit of illness. He’s had, I think, a little lack of direction. He’s been, let’s be really, cards on the table, quite a a problematic figure. He’s had his own issues uh with a couple of uh things that he set out on the road which haven’t been overly tasteful, but he’s a man that is the one thing that’s fundamental is a very very strong bike rider and needs a sense of purpose, some discipline, and s and clearly that is what’s happening at the moment because he’s an engine that can go all day on all sorts of terrain as well. We saw him finish top five in power rebate if it hadn’t been for a a puncture. I think he he might have been a power rebate winner as well. So he is a versatile asset to have in a team. I was just taking a look on that that climate showed us the back of the pelaton as well and I spotted Kaden Groves and I was just thinking of the um just the mindset for the day and a couple of days going forward with Hilly stages coming up. the mindset of a guy who’s just won a stage and it’s his first win of the year and um there’s not many stages coming up in the next couple of days that you’re probably going to have to wait until stages 12, 13, 14 as a sprintert, although stage 9 looks kind of flat. It’s got the the gravel, the white roads around Sienna. Um, not a nailed on bunch sprint by any means, but the difference between a Kaden Groves has won yesterday and let’s say an Olaf Koy who feels he’s really got the speed to win blocked in yesterday. Frustration now he’s got to get through a few days and there’s a certain just it affects your mindset just the way you feel. You’re right on a high after a win or you sort of suffer through it. No, thanks Rob. Well, sorry to cut across you there mate. We do have we’re on the climb of Monte Ordano. It’s only 300 meters to go. Let’s quickly have a little chat from Hannah who’s given us a little bit more insight into this nasty, spiteful, steep climb. Someone really did turn off the heating cuz it’s absolutely Baltic at the top of the Monte Orano. This second categorized climb. It’s 8° at the top here. And as you can see, and you can probably hear and see from the flags here, it’s blowing an absolute gale. For a large part of the climb, there is a tailwind which is going to favor the breakaway. I have to say, but you can see where we’ve come from behind me where you’re in the valley, you’re in the flatlands, and then the climb just rears up in front of you. And whilst this climb is 5.7 km long with an average of 8%, it’s really inside the final 2 and a half km where you see that this climb is a bit of a brute actually because you’ve got gradients and as you can see the climb snaking its way up behind me, you’ve got gradients of 14%. Parts of the course and parts of this climb have been resurfaced and it’s pretty smooth I’ve got to say, but it is chilly and blowing a gale. Good to hear from Hannah. This is a big acceleration here from Paul Double. He is a man. Look at the the bobbing head there of Darazzi. Looks like Paul Double on the double has taken maximum points on the top. That is a very
