I love seeing some serious wear on an old frame. Just like with old guitars. The scratches and chipped paint only prove they have been used and enjoyed for countless hours.
I stripped and refinished the paintwork on my first bike, because I wanted it to look clean and new, and I always regretted it. It lost its soul.
